Acuant IDScan OCR SDK Software — Digital License

Software only; scanner hardware is not included. IDScan OCR SDK gives developers and integrators OCR, image-capture, and data-extraction tools for compatible Acuant/GBG scanning workflows.

• Capture images from supported identity documents with compatible scanner hardware
• Extract printed text and supported document data using OCR
• Save images and extracted data to files, the clipboard, or a compatible application workflow
• Image, color, and orientation processing
• Duplex capture when paired with a supported duplex scanner
• Developer integration through supported tools and languages, including C++ and Visual Basic

Choose the right software

IDScan OCR SDK and MedicScan are separate licenses. For an approved eClinicalWorks document-scanning workflow, review MedicScan for eClinicalWorks — TWAIN Activation. MedicScan is not included with this IDScan license.

• ScanShell 800DX + IDScan OCR SDK bundle
• ID-120 + IDScan OCR SDK bundle
• ScanShell 3100D + IDScan OCR SDK listing — confirm the exact integration workflow and supplier SKU before ordering.
• ScanShell 2000NR + IDScan application bundle — do not assume this is the developer SDK.

Known exception: GBG states that the ScanShell 800NR does not work with its IDScan applications and does not provide OCR. It is an image-capture scanner only for this comparison.

Delivery and compatibility

Manufacturer SKU: IDSCOSDK-SW. This is a digitally delivered software license; no physical product ships.

Compatibility depends on the scanner model, Windows environment, SDK version, license terms, document types, fields, and target application. Contact JISC Scanners before ordering so we can confirm the current version, activation method, supported hardware, and workflow. Custom application development and integration services are not included.
